Sculture Driss — where tradition meets elegance. Located in Sfax, the heart of Tunisia’s olive-growing region, our atelier has been creating exceptional pieces from olive wood since 1996.

Each creation is meticulously handcrafted from premium olive wood, which is prized for its strength, stunning natural grain and dense structure. Our artisans transform this noble material into refined kitchenware, serveware and decorative objects, with each piece being uniquely shaped by the natural curves of the tree.

Beyond their beauty, our products are durable, eco-friendly and naturally antibacterial, offering a sophisticated alternative to steel and plastic.

Sculture Driss is celebrated for its craftsmanship and proudly exports its collections to discerning markets in Germany, Italy, the United States, and Japan.

Olive wood

Olive wood is a premium natural material, prized for its exceptional strength, density and durability. The olive tree, with its powerful trunk and beautifully gnarled grain, has been treasured for thousands of years. Its prestige dates back to ancient times — from 776 BC to 393 AD, Olympic Games champions were crowned with an olive wreath, the legendary kotinos. Even earlier than this, the crown of justice worn by Pharaoh Tutankhamun (1332–1323 BC) was crafted from olive wood, which is a testament to its timeless value.

Today, olive wood continues to symbolise elegance, authenticity and enduring quality, making every piece unique and truly remarkable.

About me?

My name is Mohamed Driss. I am a 61-year-old artisan from Tunisia. I specialize in handmade kitchen utensils crafted from natural olive wood. Each piece I create is unique, combining traditional craftsmanship with elegant design.

I run my own workshop, Sculture Driss, where I produce high-quality items such as spoons, spatulas, cutting boards, and salad servers. My work is driven by passion, precision, and a deep respect for natural materials.

I am always looking to improve and grow. I’m currently learning English and other languages to communicate with clients around the world. I also design professional catalogs in multiple languages — French, English, German, Italian, and Japanese — to present my work to international markets.

My goal is to share the beauty of Tunisian olive wood with the world, through quality, authenticity, and art.
